This card containd interesting information. The left hand side (not illustrated) has two verses and a note confirming that "the funneral to leave the house on Sunday at 12 o'clock noon for Penponds church". This leads us to an extant headstone at Penponds from which we learn that John died from injuries received in the Great war and that his widow remarried with the name Louie Wallace and that she had connections with the Cornish Gorsedd and died in 1965. Perhaps the story could be expanded by tracing obituaries in the local papers.
