There are five islands with churches and burial grounds in the parish of the Isles of Scilly. Situated in the Atlantic twenty-eight miles south west from Land’s End the islands have their own special character.
The CIP survey was carried out during 2002 and 2003 when a total of 1551 memorials were recorded with 3794 names noted. The Isles of Scilly Family History Group provided kind assistance and copies of the survey are held at the museum on St Mary’s - see newspaper article from The Cornishmandated 24th July 2003 (a similar item appeared in “The Scillonian” magazine Summer edition, 2003, No. 257, page 70)
